Product Description
UV-2908 is a hindered-phenol benzoate UV absorber (n-hexadecyl 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoate) that protects polymers through excited-state energy dissipation, while its hindered-phenol motif contributes auxiliary antioxidant action — two functions in one additive.
The n-hexadecyl chain gives UV-2908 excellent polyolefin compatibility and very low migration; its very low toxicity suits food-contact applications. It has established use in films, tapes, moldings and flame-retardant PP/PE articles as well as PET, PBT, PC and soft PVC.
Typical loadings are 0.2–0.5 wt%. Aolong UV-2908 is ≥98.0% assay, a white low-color powder that leaves product appearance untouched.
