UV Absorbers
UV Absorber UV-3638
2,2'-(1,4-Phenylene)bis(4H-3,1-benzoxazin-4-one)
Benzoxazinone UVA — extremely low volatility, engineered for engineering plastics.
Product Description
UV-3638 is a benzoxazinone UV absorber that converts 290–360 nm radiation into heat through photo-tautomerism. Its rigid, high-molecular structure has extremely low volatility, surviving the demanding processing conditions of nylon and polyester without decomposition or precipitation.
UV-3638 contributes virtually no color, suiting light and transparent engineering plastics. It excels in PA6/PA66, PC, PET, PBT and PPO, and remains effective in polyacetal, polyolefin fibers, styrenics and elastomers.
Typical loadings are 0.2–0.5 wt%. Aolong UV-3638 is of high crystalline purity with consistent batches and full regulatory documentation.
