Flame Retardant DOPO-HQ

2-(6-Oxido-6H-dibenz[c,e][1,2]oxaphosphorin-6-yl)-1,4-benzenediol

Reactive DOPO derivative with twin hydroxyl groups for polyester and PU chains.

Product Description

DOPO-HQ (also referenced as ODOPB) is the addition product of DOPO with benzoquinone, featuring two phenolic hydroxyl groups flanking the DOPO cage. These twin functionalities allow it to react directly into polyester, polyurethane, epoxy and phenolic chains as a diol-type monomer.

In chemically recycled or copolyester fibers and films, DOPO-HQ incorporation delivers permanent, non-migrating flame retardancy with UV stability far superior to brominated additives. PPSU-style modified PPE, high-temperature polyamides and reactive epoxy systems likewise reach UL 94 V-0 with minimal loading penalty.

Aolong DOPO-HQ is produced to ≥98.5% purity with white powder appearance and controlled melting range, supporting demanding polyester polycondensation processes at up to 250 °C.
