The amide-phenol antioxidant purpose-built for polyamide and fiber applications.
Product Description
Antioxidant 1098 is a sterically hindered phenol containing amide linkages, engineered specifically for polyamides. In PA6 and PA66 it delivers protection that conventional phenolics cannot match, particularly against gas-fade discoloration — the yellowing that nylon parts develop when stored in air containing nitrogen oxides.
Its high molecular weight and polyamide-compatible amide structure provide low volatility and low extraction during polyamide processing and service, from automotive under-hood connectors to textile fibers and films.
Typical loadings are 0.2–0.7 wt%, often combined with copper salt heat stabilizers for maximum long-term thermal aging resistance. Aolong 1098 is produced to ≥98.0% assay with low color for light-colored nylon compounds.
