Product Description
UV-944 is a high molecular weight (2,000–3,100) oligomeric HALS containing triazine functionality. It is regarded as one of the most effective light stabilizers for polypropylene and polyethylene in long-term outdoor exposure — from agricultural tapes and FIBC bulk bags to automotive exterior parts.
Its combination of high molecular weight and triazine rings provides outstanding resistance to extraction, volatility and paint/pesticide interaction, maintaining mechanical properties of PP tapes far longer than monomeric systems. In PP fans, crates and garden furniture, UV-944 systems routinely double service life versus UV-770 at equal loading.
Typical loadings are 0.2–0.6 wt% for outdoor infrastructure grades. Aolong UV-944 is produced with narrow oligomer distribution for consistent masterbatch performance.
