Antioxidant 1010

Pentaerythritol tetrakis(3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate)

The global benchmark phenolic primary antioxidant for polymers of every class.

Product Description

Antioxidant 1010 is the world's most widely used hindered phenolic primary antioxidant. Its four sterically hindered phenol groups per molecule donate hydrogen to polymer radicals, terminating thermo-oxidative chain reactions during compounding, molding and long-term service.

The tetra-ester structure gives 1010 its defining advantages: very low volatility even at 300 °C processing, outstanding resistance to extraction in contact with water and detergents, and broad regulatory acceptance for food-contact packaging worldwide.

It is most often blended 1 : 2 with phosphite AO-168 for processing stability, at total loadings of 0.1–0.5 wt%. Aolong 1010 is produced to ≥98.0% assay with low color and ash for clean, gas-fade-resistant compounds.
