Product Description
UV-P is one of the longest-established benzotriazole UV absorbers, converting UV radiation in the 290–400 nm band into harmless heat through reversible intramolecular hydrogen bonding. It barely absorbs visible light above 400 nm, so clear and pastel articles keep their original color — the classic choice for transparent applications.
UV-P offers low volatility and good thermal stability and can be combined with phenolic and phosphite antioxidants. In PVC it protects both resin and plasticizer, markedly reducing UV-induced yellowing and loss of mechanical properties; performance in PS, PC, PMMA, ABS and polyolefins is equally dependable.
Typical loadings are 0.1–0.5 wt% depending on substrate and section thickness. Aolong UV-P is crystallized to ≥99.0% assay with consistent, well-documented batches.
