Product Description
UV-9 (benzophenone-3, oxybenzone) is a short-chain benzophenone UV absorber with strong absorption in the 280–350 nm region and good solubility in polar solvents and resin systems. Its compact methoxy structure gives it unusually high efficiency per unit weight.
In coatings and pressure-sensitive adhesives, UV-9 protects binders against photodegradation, preventing yellowing and delamination. Specialty high-purity grades serve personal care and cosmetic applications as a broad-spectrum UV filter where regulations permit.
Typical loadings are 0.5–2.0 wt% in coatings and adhesives. Aolong UV-9 is refined to ≥99.0% assay with low individual impurities for applications demanding strict purity profiles.
