UV Absorber UV-360
2,2'-Methylenebis[6-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-4-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)phenol]
High-molecular bis-benzotriazole — extremely low volatility and extraction resistance.
Product Description
UV-360 is a bis-benzotriazole UV absorber of ~659 g/mol containing two absorbing chromophores per molecule for highly efficient 290–400 nm coverage. Its bulky structure gives extremely low volatility and excellent heat resistance, with a melting point near 200 °C.
Extraction resistance is markedly better than low-molecular absorbers, suiting articles exposed to washing and weathering as well as food-contact polyolefins. Chemically inert and compatible with many resins, UV-360 excels in weathering systems for high-processing-temperature polymers.
Typical loadings are 0.1–0.5 wt%, with added benefit when combined with HALS such as UV-944 or UV-119. Aolong UV-360 is ≥99.0% assay with low color contribution and full regulatory documentation.
