Photoinitiator PAG-101
Bis(4-tert-butylphenyl)iodonium hexafluorophosphate
The long-wavelength iodonium PAG — cost-efficient cationic acid source.
Product Description
PAG-101 is a diaryliodonium hexafluorophosphate with para-tert-butyl substituents that extend absorption and improve solubility versus unsubstituted iodonium salts. UV exposure liberates hexafluorophosphoric acid for cationic polymerization of epoxides and vinyl ethers.
Iodonium salts also act as powerful radical synergists — small additions boost Type II radical systems — making PAG-101 a dual-purpose tool for hybrid radical/cationic formulations. Typical loadings: 1–3 wt%.
