Photoinitiator PAG-001
Diphenyl(4-phenylthio)phenylsulfonium hexafluorophosphate
Triarylsulfonium PF6 photoacid generator for cationic epoxy curing.
Product Description
PAG-001 is the long-wavelength triarylsulfonium salt whose 4-phenylthio substituent extends absorption to 300–350 nm with strong molar absorptivity. Under UV it liberates hexafluorophosphoric acid, initiating cationic polymerization of epoxides, vinyl ethers and oxetolanes.
Cationic curing brings a 'dark cure' advantage — polymerization continues after exposure — plus near-zero shrinkage and excellent adhesion. Typical loadings are 1–3 wt% in cationic formulations and photoresist systems.
