Photoinitiators

Photoinitiator PAG-002

Diphenyl(4-phenylthio)phenylsulfonium hexafluoroantimonate

The SbF6 analog of PAG-001 — strongest acid for maximum cationic cure speed.

Product Description

PAG-002 pairs the same long-wavelength triarylsulfonium cation with the hexafluoroantimonate anion, whose very weakly basic character yields the strongest released acid in commercial PAG practice. Cure speed of epoxy and vinyl ether systems is markedly faster than PF6 versions.

Choose PAG-002 where maximum reactivity justifies the higher cost — thin fast lines, low-dose photoimaging and high-throughput cationic coatings. Typical loadings: 0.5–2 wt%.

Key Features

  • Strongest acid strength — fastest cationic cure
  • Same efficient long-wavelength chromophore as PAG-001
  • Effective at low loadings (0.5–2%)
  • Excellent for high-speed cationic lines

Applications

  • High-speed cationic epoxy coatings
  • UV adhesives requiring dark cure
  • Photoresist and imaging systems
  • Vinyl ether and oxetane cure
  • Electronics encapsulation
