Photoinitiator 907

2-Methyl-1-[4-(methylthio)phenyl]-2-morpholinopropan-1-one

Deep-cure α-amino ketone for heavily pigmented UV inks and electronics coatings.

Product Description

Photoinitiator 907 is an α-amino ketone Type II initiator whose long-wavelength absorption and high initiating efficiency make it a classic choice for heavily pigmented systems. Its benzyl-type radical chemistry delivers pronounced through-cure where surface-only initiators leave under-cured films, particularly in dark UV inks and thick solder-mask coatings.

907 is widely paired with thioxanthones such as ITX to balance surface and depth cure, and its morpholine functionality contributes strong adhesion on copper, glass and rigid plastics. Typical loadings are 2–4 wt% alone or 1–2 wt% in combination packages.

Key Features

  • Pronounced through-cure in dark and heavily pigmented inks
  • Strong adhesion contribution on copper, glass and plastics
