Photoinitiator 1001M
1-[4-(4-Benzoylphenylthio)phenyl]-2-tosyl-2-methyl-1-propanone
Macromolecular benzophenone-acetophenone hybrid for ultra-low-migration inks.
Product Description
1001M combines a benzophenone chromophore with an acetophenone cleavage center in one effectively macromolecular molecule. Photolysis produces high-molecular-weight radicals that stay in the film, minimizing extractables — directly addressing migration limits in food-contact packaging.
It works as a self-sufficient Type II initiator (the tosyl group serves as internal hydrogen donor) and can replace BP/amine pairs in compliant ink systems. Typical loadings are 2–5 wt%.
