Light Stabilizers (HALS)

Light Stabilizer UV-770

Bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl) sebacate

The classic low-molecular HALS with unmatched weathering cost-performance for polyolefins.

Product Description

UV-770 is the most widely used hindered amine light stabilizer for polyolefins. Regenerated in its nitroxyl active form during weathering, it acts catalytically — scavenging polymer radicals over and over — which explains its exceptional efficiency at typical loadings of just 0.1–0.5 wt%.

In polypropylene injection molding, tapes and fibers, UV-770 extends outdoor service life by a factor of five to ten versus unstabilized resin. It is frequently combined with UV absorber UV-326 for systems where pigment and substrate protection are both required.

Aolong UV-770 is crystallized to ≥99.0% assay with low ash and moisture, protecting masterbatch viscosities and ensuring smooth extrusion at high let-down ratios.
