Photoinitiator 784

Bis(2,6-difluoro-3-(pyrrol-1-yl)phenyl)titanocene

The titanocene for visible-light curing at 400–550 nm.

Product Description

Photoinitiator 784 is the commercial titanocene (Irgacure 784 type) initiator. Its absorption extends deep into the visible spectrum — strong bands through 400–550 nm — enabling curing with blue/violet LEDs, argon-ion lasers and visible-light diodes where UV initiators are blind.

Upon photolysis it generates titanium-centered radicals and difluorinated aromatic fragments that initiate acrylates efficiently even at very low loadings (0.1–1%). Main uses: holographic recording, photolithography, dental and visible-light 3D printing resins.

Key Features

  • Unique 400–550 nm visible-light absorption
